Emergency Care*
DeTar Healthcare System provides free, convenient, online self-scheduling for patients. This service allows patients to check-in for estimated treatment times at our emergency rooms and book appointments for healthcare services.
Instead of sitting in the waiting room, enjoy the convenience and comfort of waiting at home. Once you arrive at your designated time, you will be promptly seen by a healthcare professional. This service does not allow patients to skip in front of other visitors; all patients are seen based on the hospital's standard triage and queuing process. Online check-in should not be used for emergencies. Emergency room care is for life-threatening conditions.

Trauma Care
Trauma is considered any serious injury that is caused by an external force, including vehicle crashes, falls or violence. The trauma centers at DeTar Healthcare System provide emergency medical services to patients who are suffering from physical traumatic injuries.
Trauma services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Nobody expects to be injured, but trauma can come at any time. That's why it's so important to have a name you can trust when you need it most. DeTar Navarro has been designated a Lead Level III trauma center by the Texas Department of Health and DeTar North has been designated a Lead Level IV trauma center. This means that we are committed to organized, multidisciplinary care throughout the course of a patient's hospitalization - from admission to discharge.
