DeTar Healthcare System Hosts Hormone Replacement Therapy Seminar
5/20/2024
VICTORIA, Texas – On Thursday, May 30, Philip Suraez, M.D., FACOG, will host a presentation over Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) in DeTar Hospital North’s Education Classroom from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. All Victoria and surrounding area residents are welcome to attend.
HRT is known most commonly as both a menopausal and postmenopausal hormone therapy used to treat symptoms associated with female menopause. Essentially, HRT can be beneficial to women seeking relief from side effects from menopause such as vaginal dryness or hot flashes. Age, family medical history, personal medical history and severity of one’s symptoms are important factors to consider when deciding whether or not to take HRT.
“We’re very excited to have Dr. Suarez share his knowledge of HRT, positive effects of taking HRT and the different forms in which it’s available. We encourage anyone interested in learning more about HRT to attend the presentation so that they can develop a deeper understanding of their hormone functions before, during and after menopause. In addition to the information shared, women will have the opportunity to take note of questions they may have for their primary care provider,” shares Mary Claire Bradshaw, director of the Women & Children’s Center.
The Education Classroom at DeTar Hospital Navarro is located at 101 Medical Drive, Victoria, TX 77901 and is located next door to the Grapevine Cafe. For further questions regarding information or to RSVP, please contact 361-788-6125 or 361-788-6111. Attendees are encouraged to bring a guest to the free presentation, taking place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
